About The Conference

Rise to Resilience: How Diversity Builds Strong Communities is the theme of the 2021 conference - how do you build resiliency in your workplace, in those you teach, in the environmental education field, with staff, and in your community.

Event Location

Southern Oregon University
Ashland, Oregon

Dates

Friday to Sunday 30 July - 1 August, 2021

A Hybrid Conference

We are eager to bring you an opportunity to connect with others in the environmental and outdoor education field in a safe and fun manner. We are aware that social gatherings are not safe at this time and acknowledge that this may still be the case come summer 2021. Keeping that in mind we are working to organize a hybrid conference with the majority of sessions offered online and some in-person field trips and workshops at Southern Oregon University (SOU). We will be prepared to switch to an all-virtual conference if conditions warrant the change.

Interested in supporting the conference? Contact us to learn how you can volunteer your time or become a conference sponsor.

Conference Strands

Conference strands align with Oregon's Environmental Literacy Plan - system thinking; physical, human, and living systems; interconnectedness of people and the environment; personal and civic responsibility; and thinking and planning for sustainable future.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) will be interwoven into each strand.

Call For Presenters
